Looking for a fun road trip romance with all the feels? Trish Doller’s Off the Map might be for you!

Off the Map by Trish Doller is a fun frolic through Ireland with an independent American woman who’s been living on the road for a decade afraid to go home, and a sweet Irishman who’s been afraid to pursue his dreams. Recommended to me by one of my amazing author friends (Laurel Greer) who never recommends a dud, this book pulled me out of a hard reading slump.

In fact, she recommended it because she said she felt like she could’ve been reading one of my books. So, of course I had to check it out. And boy did it strike a chord…

Uber-competent, independent, sexual heroine? Check. Golden Retriever hero ready and willing to learn from the heroine, who falls for her because of her independence not in spite of it? Check again. A nice amount of spice? Check three. And of course, delightful writing and characters with deep, dark secrets to work thorough together and alone.

Off the Map starts when our heroine, Carla, heads to Ireland for her best friend’s wedding, and is met by the groom’s brother, Eamon—who is slated to give her ride to the wedding about six hours away. But the attraction is palpable and what starts as a quick fling turns into a weekend-long road trip around Ireland and a whole bunch of adventures. Along the way the learn a lot about themselves and each other.

I am a huge fan of competence porn and badass women who don’t need a man, but discover they’d like a partner who supports them. This book delivers all that along with all the feels. I highly recommend you grab a copy of Off the Map right now. It’s a perfect summer read.

About Off the Map

Trish Doller’s idyllic romance Off the Map proves sometimes a wrong turn can lead to the exact right destination.

On the road to love, you don’t need a GPS…

Carla Black’s life motto is “here for a good time, not for a long time.” She’s been traveling the world on her own in her vintage Jeep Wrangler for nearly a decade, stopping only long enough to replenish her adventure fund. She doesn’t do love and she doesn’t ever go home.

Eamon Sullivan is a modern-day cartographer who creates digital maps. His work helps people find their way, but he’s the one who’s lost his sense of direction. He’s unhappy at work, recently dumped, and his one big dream is stalled out―literally.

Fate throws them together when Carla arrives in Dublin for her best friend’s wedding and Eamon is tasked with picking her up from the airport. But what should be a simple drive across Ireland quickly becomes complicated with chemistry-filled detours, unexpected feelings, and a chance at love – if only they choose it.
